Let’s talk floors.
I was most certain when we purchased this little house that we would choose something easy to take care of. I also knew that I wanted something durable and trendy.
To be honest, my first choice was to find a ceramic wood plank style tile to use throughout the main areas of the house. I thought how easy would it be to clean up -especially after the kids as we come in and out from the beach. We never where shoes in our home and we wont here but sand can be sneaky.
My husband never liked the idea of ceramic tile in the first place. I was set on a maintenance free flooring choice so I kept pushing it anyways. Long story short my husband brought my father into the debate and let’s just say I am a sucker for his opinion.
I’m glad he did because there are so many flooring options out there. To find that neutral medium wood tone I was looking for, I needed to expand my search.
We went through about 30 or so samples to finally find our match and I can’t wait to share the reveal so please stay tuned.
